Admissions Frequently Asked Questions
When should I apply?
The primary application deadline is January 17, 2019. We accept rolling admissions after that deadline; however acceptance and financial aid will then be given on an “as available” basis.
What should go in the application?
Please see the checklist on the cover sheet of the application. Portfolios are strongly recommended. Portfolio submissions can include: artwork, writing samples, short films, live music demos or links to performances, software development, etc.
Do students need to take the ISEE Test for Acceptance?
No. At this time, students are not required to take the ISEE to gain acceptance into STAR Prep Academy.
How are students selected for admission to STAR Prep Academy?
We look at a number of areas in identifying students for admission. These areas include assessment scores, portfolios of student work, notable achievement from previous schools or community participation, references, student auditions and student interviews.
What is the annual Tuition and Fees?
Our annual tuition is $25,500 plus an additional $1,100 for materials and fees.
What should I do if I would like to apply for financial aid?
Families seeking financial aid must file an application through the Independent School Management Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) Program in Wilmington, DE. An application with supporting documents must be submitted within 10 days after acceptance letter is received. You can apply for aid by clicking here.

When will decisions be made?
For the 2018-2019 school year, STAR Prep Academy has a rolling admissions deadline. Rolling admissions decisions will take approximately 2 weeks after all materials are received.

Is STAR Prep Academy accredited?
STAR Prep Academy is fully accredited with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
